We understand that you may have numerous questions about embarking on a tour with us at MGR Sports Tours. To assist you, we’ve compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions below. Travel & ACcommodation Questions
Where will the hotel be based?
We work with a number of hotels in the city and this will be chosen based on the size of the group, dates of availability, and other variables. It’s important to us that the hotel is in a safe area of the city with close access to metro transport to allow easy city navigation.
Can we book our own flights separately?
Yes. You are welcome to book your own flights. Once we have your flight details, we will coordinate airport transfers on the tour arrival and departure days to best suit your flight times.
Do you offer a group flight option?
Yes. We provide a group flight option to consider. Benefits include spreading flight costs, traveling with others from the group, and ticketing handled by MGR Sports Tours. Flight options are provided shortly after registration begins.
Will someone meet us at the airport?
Yes. On arrival at the airport in Barcelona, our staff will be waiting in the arrivals area for you. We will have a sign and be clearly visible to meet you and transport you to the hotel.
Schedule and Activities Questions
What does the schedule include?
We build the tour schedule to suit the group’s needs, working closely with Club staff. The schedule is busy but allows pockets of time for personal city exploration. All inclusions are outlined on the ‘inclusions and price’ page with no hidden costs post-registration.
How do you arrange the friendly games?
We work with club coaches to gather key information needed to arrange competitive international friendly games against local opposition. Once the team’s level is established, we use our network to arrange these games.
Who will be taking the training sessions?
We work with pro-level coaches throughout the city to provide fantastic training experiences. The sessions are designed to expose players to different coaching styles and voices. Session numbers are based on club coaches’ requests.
What meals are included?
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included daily for players, starting with the welcome evening meal on the first day and breakfast on the last day. Lunches for parents and siblings are not included to allow flexibility within the schedule.
Registration and Payments Questions
What if I miss the deadline for registering?
If you miss the deadline, we can still register you on the trip. The current deadline allows us time to spread payments. For late registration or adding a family member later, contact us to check availability and adjust the payment plan accordingly.
What if I need to adjust the payment plan?
Our online registration system is fully automated. If you need to adjust payment dates or amounts, contact us directly, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Is there a deadline for the group flight?
Yes. There is a deadline for registering for the group flight, which we need to adhere to. We are allocated a certain number of seats, and we cannot guarantee the same price for seats added after the deadline.
How does the rooming work for my family?
The hotels we use offer different room types to suit your family. We aim to make rooming as comfortable as possible, offering more space as needed, depending on the number of people.
